An ambitious work full of delight

My daughter delighted in animal stories as a youngster. The imagery in this incredible selection of poems awakens the imagination and provides a wonderful way to learn about the animal kingdom. I enjoyed reading "old favorites" and was fascinated by the variety of perspectives and moods of many works that are new to me. I will give it to parents as well as to teachers. Even to my now-grown daughter!

Wonderful, beautiful, inspirational and authentic.

Teaches children values and respect. A wonderful variation and selection of poetry and stories which could be perfect for bedtime when one is too tired to read a whole book. This would be ideal leaving the imagination open for thought and creativity combined with subtle messages while moulding the personality of the listener and reader in a positive way. Vocabulary superb! With an animal alphabet that introduces many unusual creatures. This is an all in one book. From stories to poetry to English to increased IQ. to musical verses, this book has it all. Highly recommended for all ages!

What a great collection! This would be a invaluable addition for any teacher's collection. Parents too, will find many an evening read for their children. I practically read this from cover to cover the first time I sat down with it. I will be using this in my teaching this year and many years to come. Second grade Waldorf teachers will find here the largest collection in the world of Aesop Fables put into verse. This is an incredible resource!!!
